Each individual parish in the Greater New Orleans Region can make a strong argument for business investment by itself but, collectively, the argument is overwhelming.

That, combined with extensive port, rail, air and highway access, gives the region unparalleled infrastructure. Good enough to earn the region a 98th percentile ranking for best logistics among metro areas in 2007. When you also consider other assets, such as our skilled workforce, higher education, quality of life and available land, it’s clear our assets will be to your advantage.
The region consists of Jefferson, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Charles, St. James, St. John the Baptist, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa and Washington Parishes. A reminder of Louisiana’s French heritage, the state’s 64 counties are called parishes. The ten parishes comprising the Greater New Orleans region are unique – each enjoying its own character, attractions, and strategic business advantages.
