Tangipahoa is part of the area known as the “Florida Parishes” and occupies approximately 790 square miles, ranging from low, flat land in the south to rolling hills in the north. Market access to Tangipahoa is evident with various modes of transportation, namely three major interstate highways, freight rail, navigable
waterways/ports, and motor freight. The parish is also located near the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport and the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport.
