Washington Parish is located approximately 65 miles north of New Orleans. Market access to Washington Parish is available through two local airports – located in Bogalusa and Franklinton and the nearby New Orleans International Airport, and six major freight lines. Washington Parish is also home to two prime industrial sites with infrastructure located on major highways. Today, Washington Parish’s economy is dominated by the manufacturing, food processing, retail trade, and services sectors. In addition, several business incentives and tax regulation initiatives have been created to further spur development.
